Netti Pot

A Netti Pot or Neti Pot is used for nasal irrigation with warm saline solution. It is a natural approach to nasal sinus and daily use will reduce and prevent symptoms, medication need and doctor visits. It can be used by patients of chronic sinusitis including symptoms of facial pain, headache, halitosis, cough and cold. The goal of nasal wash is to clear out excess mucous and particulates and moisturize the nasal cavity.

In an American Study of 211 patients with different inflammatory conditions in the nose including allergies, they found that the daily use of nasal cleansing with salt water (netti pot) significantly improved many of the parameters of experienced discomfort. The study concluded that nasal irrigation has an enormous potential of improving the quality of life of millions of patients in a very cost effective way.

An English study showed significant improvement of the conditions in the nasal passages and improvement of the general quality of life of patients with chronic sinusitis, as a result of cleansing the nose with salt water.

A Swedish study of the effect of daily use of nasal cleansing of the nose with salt water (netti pot) for workers of the wood industry. There was a positive effect both on the experienced symptoms and also on the measured functions of the nose of these workers.
